Woodstock Arts Has Booked Every Fall Weekend Between Now and Mid-November

October 8, 2026

The folding tables from Art on the Green came down on Sunday, October 4. The Oktoberfest Pub Crawl that drew people between Main Street venues and Reformation's backyard contests on Saturday afternoon is over too. Most local calendars treat that weekend as the start of fall downtown. In 2026 it works more like a curtain-raiser for six weekends in a row.

From Friday, October 9 through Sunday, November 15, Woodstock Arts has something on the calendar every weekend. Most of it happens at two venues: its Theatre at 8534 Main Street and its Event Green at 113 Elm Street. The City of Woodstock adds a free Halloween event and a Saturday morning errand around that run.

Most of downtown's fall comes from that one programmer. Plan the season as one recurring pattern rather than a string of separate dates.

Six weekends, one grid

Weekend What's on Where Cost
Oct 9–11 Come From Away opens Woodstock Arts Theatre, 8534 Main St $21–$22 online
Oct 16–18 Come From Away continues; Molly Tuttle on Sat, Oct 17, 7:30 p.m. Theatre; Event Green, 113 Elm St Play $21–$22 online
Oct 23–25 Come From Away closing weekend Theatre $21–$22 online
Oct 30–Nov 1 Woodstock Arts' Rocky Horror Picture Show with Shadow Cast, Oct 29–30; Double Feature Movie Night: Scream + Beetlejuice, Fri, Oct 30, 6 p.m.; city Halloween Skelebration, Sat, Oct 31, 4–8 p.m. Woodstock Arts; Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater Skelebration free
Nov 6–8 Día de los Muertos Festival Event Green Free
Nov 13–15 Finding Nemo Jr., Nov 12–15; "'Tis the Season to be Green," Sat, Nov 14, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Theatre; city event Recycling mostly free

The grid shows a clear sequence. The first three weekends center on one ticketed production indoors on Main Street. Halloween weekend splits between Woodstock Arts' late-October screenings and a free city event. The last two weekends pair a free festival with a family show. If you have a household that wants a mix of grown-up nights out and kid-friendly afternoons, that order lines up neatly with the calendar.

The three-weekend run on Main Street

Come From Away runs October 9 through 25 at the Theatre. Online tickets are listed at $21 to $22. Three weekends gives you real room to choose a date. Opening weekend and closing weekend tend to fill first, and the middle weekend comes with an option the other two lack.

That option arrives on Saturday, October 17. Bluegrass and Americana performer Molly Tuttle is booked for 7:30 p.m. on the Woodstock Arts Event Green at 113 Elm Street. On that one weekend, the same organization has a musical running indoors on Main Street and a concert booked outdoors on Elm Street. For out-of-town guests visiting in mid-October, that Saturday holds the most in the smallest area.

Halloween weekend, shared with the city

Woodstock Arts opens the weekend with Rocky Horror Picture Show with Shadow Cast on October 29 and 30 and a Scream and Beetlejuice double feature on Friday, October 30, at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the city's free Halloween Skelebration runs from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater, with trick-or-treating, games, crafts, live music, and food vendors. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so the event ends early enough for families to get home for neighborhood trick-or-treating the same evening.

Two free days on the Event Green

The Día de los Muertos Festival returns to the Event Green on November 7 and 8. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, and admission is free. Woodstock Arts has published the Saturday lineup in order:

  1. Sofi G opens the festival in the morning.
  2. Lotería games follow.
  3. Mariachi Buhos de Oro performs.
  4. A salsa dancing class gets people on their feet.
  5. More games lead into an evening movie.

A community ofrenda stays up through the festival for anyone who wants to honor loved ones who have passed. Local art and food vendors line the green. Vendor applications close October 15, and the full vendor list should take shape after that.

The last weekend packs two kinds of errand

Finding Nemo Jr., a Woodstock Arts Youth Spotlight production for all ages, runs November 12 through 15 at the Theatre. On Saturday morning of that same weekend, the city holds "'Tis the Season to be Green," a recycling and paper-shredding event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Most collections are free, with fees for some TVs and monitors. One Saturday can handle a box of old tax files in the morning and a youth musical in the afternoon.

The city's holiday schedule starts after that. Santa's Mailbox is listed for November 26 through December 13. The Christmas Jubilee & Parade of Lights follows on Sunday, December 6, with the parade starting at 5:30 p.m.

Dinner before curtain, on the same stretch of Main

Several restaurants are spending their first fall on Main Street. That gives you options for a pre-show dinner close to the Theatre's 8534 Main Street address:

  • Catalina Cucina Italian Kitchen & Bar, 8320 Main Street. IN WDSTK held its ribbon cutting on June 18, 2026.
  • Rreal Tacos, 8558 Main Street. Its grand-opening ribbon cutting was May 13, 2026.
  • Paloma Tequila & Taco, 8184 Main Street at Adair Park, with posted service hours.

One more Adair Park opening is still on the horizon. Oishii Sushi Noodle Bar is slated for the fourth-floor rooftop at 8184 Main Street, and its own site still says "Coming 2026!" with no date posted.

Parking for six straight weekends

Downtown parking can handle this many back-to-back weekends without much trouble. The City Center East Parking Deck at Arnold Mill Road and Chambers Street is free, and the city counts 633 spaces. Woodstock Arts also notes free parking in the lot next to the Theatre. In its February 2026 update, the city said fewer than 19 percent of downtown spaces are managed. On those spaces, the first hour is free and fees are capped at $4. A three-hour dinner-and-show evening costs, at most, the price of the cap.

What is still under construction

Several projects that will change downtown trips are not finished yet. Plan this fall around today's layout.

The Noonday Creek Trail extension is a 1.5-mile link from the trail behind Reformation Brewery toward Cobb County's Noonday Park. A March 2026 tourism release gave fall 2026 as the expected completion window. In August, city transportation staff described it as close to completion. An earlier city-adapted notice from March asked people to stay off the extension while it remained an active construction zone, with updates to follow when work is complete. Check with the city for its current status before planning a walk on it. The same August update listed the new Main and Elm pedestrian crossing as completed, which matters on festival weekends when foot traffic moves between the Theatre and the Event Green.

On Towne Lake Parkway, widening is underway from Woodstock Parkway to the Mill Street roundabout. The city gave the contractor 365 days from a January 12, 2026 notice to proceed, which points to a finish around January 2027. Next to that work, Woodstock Mill District is 79 percent leased around a 46,791-square-foot Publix. Tenants are expected to move into their buildings this fall, with the center opening in early 2027. Announced tenants include Sydel's Coffee, Three Dollar Café, Super Chix, Club Pilates, Petfolk Veterinary & Urgent Care, and Allure Nail Bar. Tin Drum Asian Kitchen & Boba Tea Bar is slated for the strip center next door, with no confirmed timeline. E's Barber Shop's owner expects the second Woodstock location at 200 Towne Lake Parkway to open the first week of December. barre3 has announced 150 Towne Lake Parkway without an opening date.

None of those projects is part of the fall 2026 calendar. For the next six weekends, the schedule belongs to Woodstock Arts and the city's downtown events.

Our team follows downtown Woodstock's calendar and the Towne Lake Parkway projects closely, because both affect how a given street works day to day.
